I also have a question for you!  It's that time again:  time to start writing my next book. But I'm torn.  Should I write about Clarissa or Liana?  On the one hand, I'm eager to delve into all the new magic spells Clarissa is learning.  But I also really want to continue Liana and Luke's love story.  What do you think?

The second book of the Liana Campbell series is done!  It has more Fluffy, more Luke, more romance, more small town gossip...more everything, really.  I'm super excited it's finished - now I can spend the rest of the evening watching terrible reality TV.  I love it way more than I care to admit.  It's one of my guilty pleasures!

I'm eager to get back to Clarissa's story. I miss writing about Cat's antics and Aunt Matilda's craziness. I'm also really excited to throw some new challenges (and adventures) at Clarissa.

First, though, I have a special project underway. I'm writing a short story from Fluffy's point-of-view. What better way to get to know the lovable little guy than to find out what goes on inside that head of his?

Be warned, he may be outsmarted by a laser pointer.

And he may wage war on his own tail.  Again.

Fluffy might not be the smartest cat in Sugarcomb Lake, but he's sure a lot nicer than Clarissa's monster cat. Sweet, unassuming Fluffy: what kind of trouble will he get into next?  Stay tuned to find out...

New Cozy Mystery Series

Hi!  

It's been a while since you've heard from me, but Sugarcomb Lake is never far from my mind. The other night when I couldn't sleep I stared at the ceiling and basically worked out the entire plot of my next book. I think my SO was a bit freaked out in the morning when I happily announced that, while he was sleeping, I had been thinking about ways to kill people. Oh, the fun of being a cozy author!

There are a couple of things I want to tell you about:

New Series

I've started a new book series! It stars Liana Campbell, Clarissa Spencer's best friend. This series doesn't contain any  paranormal elements. It's just good, old fashioned Sugarcomb Lake quirkiness. Cranky old Mrs. Meddler, the Pearl Clutchers and Officer Sam Swanson all make appearances. There's also a cat (of course) and a little romance.

I'm excited to delve into the culinary cozy genre. Book 1 of the Liana Campbell series is available on Amazon now. It's currently free to Kindle Unlimited subscribers, but rest assured I will publish it on other platforms in the future. You can check it out here.

Revamped Books

Don't worry - I haven't forgotten about Clarissa! I've actually got some huge life changes in store for her. I will be writing more books about her in the future, and there will be a whole lot more magic in them. You're also going to get to know her crazy family a lot better and watch her relationship with Parker grow.

You might notice I've changed some book covers and titles. The book listings themselves remain unchanged, so it should be easy to tell if you've already purchased a particular book. If you have questions, don't hesitate to reach out to me. Though I'm terrible at social media, I genuinely love hearing from readers.

It's almost Halloween and I'm so excited!

I've always loved everything about Halloween: the costumes, the decorations and of course, the candy. I haven't decided what I'm going to dress up as this year. Right now it's a tossup between The Mother of Dragons and Jessica Rabbit.
